Thassaright! The sample boxes have a new name. Thank you for all the suggestions I got- “Triple Treat” is a bit of a combination of several ideas!
These Triple Treats will be available next week- so consider this an advance warning
!!
I have several ideas in mind, so I dunno yet whats going to be in them… They’ll be R50 each, so feel free to place an order via the contact form, or via email- which you can also find on the contact form
You can see examples of previous “Triple Treat” boxes by clicking here.
I heard about this here compo via Twitter, and then went looking for it!
I have been thinking about baking these particular cupcakes for ages, and the competition was the perfect occasion to test my idea. My knucklehead was kind enough to play cameraman whilst I was baking- and I don’t have any pictures of me actually baking the cupcakes- so thats different. And my fiancé photographed me with the finished cupcakes to send to Yuppiechef.
I used a red velvet recipe that I found- I’m still trying to replace the one I lost- which is divine and velvety, but not red! I iced it with pink and white two-tone butter icing to make it look like the softserve ice cream I grew up with, and then put in a flake to complete the look!!
You can see my entry and some comments on it on Yuppiechef’s website and on their Facebook page.
I’ll sell these for R20 each.
This special silver box, tied with a red ribbon, was ordered for a birthday gift.
There is a chocolate cake with a secret-centre in the fancy yellow cup- decorated with butter icing and a flake. In the fancy green cup is a chocolate cake with a secret-centre, decorated with chocolate butter icing and little fondant flowers. In the purple cup is a crème-caramel secret-centre chocolate cupcake with a chocolate ganache-type frosting and chopped nuts. The other cupcake is supposed to be a red velvet cupcake, and its divinely velvety, but its not red at all. It has cream cheese icing on nonetheless since it tastes divine in combination… and its not the red colouring that determines its taste
