A Family Visit

Author: Angel

We spent Sunday with my inlaws, and I took these red velvet cupcakes with white vanilla butter icing with me. They were sprinkled with red glitter and tiny silver dragees and were very yummy indeed!

I Am Determined…

Author: Angel

to make cake pops!! I have found several recipes but I am battling to find the “candy melt” as used overseas, and chocolate just doesn’t work…

I made mine with a chocolate cake and mixed in some ready made Pilsbury chocolate icing to make it sticky (as per the recipes) but I made them too big so they were too heavy for the sticks and the chocolate doesn’t cool and dry evenly on the ball and and and…

Anyhoodle, they are painfully sweet but I will definitely be trying them again! And as soon as I get it right they will be up for ordering!

Beagles and Cherries

Author: Angel

Tanya and her other half got back from an overseas vacation yesterday, and whilst they were away their beagles Harry and Oscar were being looked after by a fellow beagle fan. Tanya asked me to make chocolate cupcakes with chocolate butter icing topped with fondant beagle faces on top of them as a thank you gift.

She also ordered some cherry-vanilla cupcakes with cream cheese icing on for her and Peter to snack on whilst recovering from their jetlag.
