Wandie’s daughter got married on Good Friday, and these were her cupcakes.
Chocolate cupcakes with a melt-in-your-mouth white vanilla butter icing a little glitter for some wedding sparkle, and light blue sugar pearls.

Gugu ordered chocolate cupcakes in silver paper cups for her friends’ birthday! They were decorated with a bright fuschia and white two-tone swirl, confetti sprinkles and the birthday girls’ initials in silver fondant.
She also ordered a red velvet cake, covered in fluffy delicious cream cheese icing and decorated with a picture of the birthday girl mounted on fondant. I flopped the cake miserably when I attempted it so I got one from Dilene at Salon de Culinaire instead!
I like chocolate with mint in it. Crispy green minty bits. Creamy mint centres. All sorts. I’ve seen minty cupcake recipes but I haven’t tried any of them.
I had some extra chocolate cupcakes from Easter so I added some mint essence to some bright red butter icing and then piped the red icing with some vanilla butter icing in a big swirl onto the chocolate cupcakes!
It was rather yummy!
This fresh pear pie was absolutely delicious!
Everyone enjoyed it! Its got a lovely pear taste without being overpoweringly sweet, and served with a little fresh cream, everyone wanted seconds!
I had no orders for Easter cupcakes, but we had a big family get together with a fondue and much laughter, and I had to take cupcakes with me of course!
I baked chocolate cupcakes in yellow and purple paper cups, and I topped half of them with chocolate butter icing, a Flake “nest” and chocolate mini eggs. I decorated the other half with white and yellow butter icing to look like the inside of a marshmallow egg and topped it with a Cadbury’s caramel filled chocolate egg!
They all went down a treat!
