Thandi orders from me on a regular basis, and for her Matteo’s birthday she ordered a dragon cake!

I turned this one around so his head and tail were on opposite sides of the board to the ones I did before, but like the others it had a layered chocolate cake sandwiched with ganache for the body, a head made of rice krispy treats, and a neck and tail made of a cake and ganache “cake pop” mixture- which I can mould instead of sculpt.

Here it is covered in ganache in preparation for its sugarpaste covering.

Kim ordered these for her son for his birthday- which they’re celebrating by going to a cricket match!

They are vanilla cupcakes with bright green vanilla butter icing “grass” topped with cricket-themed sugarpaste decorations!

Claire ordered these red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese icing to be delivered to her hubby’s office for his birthday!

Have you ever heard of a “Tache Bash”? I hadn’t, not until Michelle emailed me after finding me on Facebook, and told me she was arranging a “tache bash” for her husband’s birthday party.

A “tache bash” is a moustache-themed party!

If you’ve spent any time browsing sites like Pinterest or Tumblr, you’ll know that moustaches are far more than just facial hair these days! Tattoos, photo booth props, cookies, jewellery… you name it!

Michelle wanted a selection of sugarpaste moustaches to top a selection of four different cupcakes, and she wanted them wacky and colourful!

On Saturday morning I delivered cappuccino cupcakes with cappuccino butter icing, glace cherry cupcakes with cream cheese icing, and chocolate cupcakes topped with red vanilla butter icing and decorated with sugarpaste soccer balls!
