This three layer, one tier chocolate cake is for a boy’s baby shower. It is covered with sugarpaste and decorated with pastel coloured squares, sugarpaste blocks and two little sugarpaste bears.

Karin ordered a selection of cupcakes and a cake for a baby shower that was held at Cafe Blu in Fourways.

These pink and purple coloured cupcakes were for Carrie’s baby shower – she’s having a little girl!

The chocolate cupcakes were topped with purple and white vanilla butter icing, and the vanilla cupcakes were topped with white vanilla butter icing. All the cupcakes were decorated with sugarpaste baby-themed decorations and flowers.

This is a white chocolate mud cake, sandwiched and covered with white chocolate ganache, decorated with sugarpaste in white and pastel colours.

The blocks are made of sugarpaste covered rice krispy treats, and the bears are hand-moulded sugarpaste.

For my sister’s baby shower last Saturday, I baked a selection of cupcakes to match the party theme and colour scheme- green, blue and bugs!

Here’s one of the cupcake stands from the party full of cupcakes! There was a selection of chocolate, vanilla and red velvet cupcakes for the baby shower guests.

The vanilla cupcakes are topped with blue vanilla butter icing and decorated with little sugar paste baby feet, and they’re packaged in my newest discovery – paper cupcake cups with see-thru plastic domes! They make for really awesome party favours!
