Suzanne’s bridal shower had a horse racing theme and was held at Turffontein Race Track! Her fiance Nico arranged for her and her guests to have cupcakes on the day decorated with custom made sugar paste decorations to fit her party theme.

The 120 cupcakes on two stands were an assortment of cappuccino cupcakes with a coffee butter icing drizzled with melted chocolate, vanilla cupcakes with white vanilla butter icing, chocolate cupcakes with chocolate butter icing and chocolate cupcakes with a Bar One ganache.

The custom made sugar paste decorations were an assortment of ladies’ hats, rosettes, jockey shirts, horse shoes and discs with numbers on- all done in green and orange. Each of the 120 cupcakes had a themed decoration on it and the 120 decorations took me a week to make.

These vanilla cupcakes were ordered for a bridal shower! The bride-to-be is a horsewoman, and her wedding colour scheme is pink and grey, so I topped a pink vanilla butter icing swirl with a little grey fondant pony, and I topped a grey vanilla butter icing swirl with a pink fondant high heel shoe!

These are chocolate cupcakes in red and black paper cups, iced with white vanilla butter icing and topped with knickers, bras and shoes in red and black fondant!!
