strawberry daiquiri cupcakes
red velvet and cream cheese icing cupcake
Last week, Georgina found me on Twitter and ordered cupcakes for the weekend for a hen party.
She wanted some of the goodies to be gluten-free so that all her guests would be able to enjoy something yummy, so she ordered gluten-free chocolate cupcakes with chocolate butter icing and the berry cake that was beta tested a while back- also in a gluten-free variation. She also ordered Earl Grey Tea cupcakes with a creamy lemon butter icing, and red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese icing.
Thanks for your order Georgina, I hope you and your guests enjoyed it all!
gluten-free berry “cake”

red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese icing and gluten-free chocolate cupcakes with chocolate butter icingOn Saturday night we went to a Christmas party and gift exchange with some friends, and as it was a bring-and-share I made cupcakes for dessert.
In fact, ALL the guests took dessert!
The chocolate cupcakes are stuffed with chocolate ganache and topped with white vanilla butter icing and a little glitter, and the red velvet cupcakes are topped with white vanilla butter icing. All the cupcakes were decorated with fresh cherries that I had dipped in melted chocolate!
All these recipes are from “Indulgence Cupcakes: a fine selection of sweet treats“.
This collection of recipes is slightly more gourmet than I usually try, so they’re a little pricier than usual at R90 for 12 cupcakes- still a huge bargain for this kind of recipe.
How the “beta testing” works is that I try something new, and you tell me what you think!
If you want to try one of these recipes, there’s a small price to cover the cost of the ingredients. Only one “batch” of 12 cupcakes is available for each recipe, so its first-come-first-served. I will then email you an invoice, my EFT details and my address and directions. Your order will have to be collected from me in Midrand. Biscuits can wait for collection, but cakes and cupcakes and such need to be collected the day they are baked, or a day later at most. Then after you’ve tried them, you email me, write a blog post, or leave a comment and tell me what you thought!
All you have to do is leave a comment on this post and tell me which one you would like to try, I will then email you further details.

So here’s the list of recipes I am going to be attempting.
