I love how this Hawaii-themed cake turned out!
The chocolate birthday cake is filled with strawberry buttercream, covered with blue ombre sugar paste “waves”, and decorated with handmade sugar paste decorations.
I don’t get to make sugar flowers very often, and I battled a bit with the Hibiscus flowers, but I am quite pleased with the finished ones. Then there are pink and white Frangipani flowers, seashells, and flip flops.
This birthday cake and cupcakes were decorated with a Matryoshka theme!
The vanilla birthday cake and cupcakes are gluten free, with a white vanilla buttercream,
and handmade sugar paste decoration.
The cake topper is sugar paste-covered Rice Krispy Treats.
A vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream for a tribal princess themed party.
The chevrons were cut by hand as I don’t have a cutter, and I couldn’t find a tutorial for the teepee ANYwhere so I made it up as I went along – the same for the dreamcatcher! 😀
The birthday boy wanted “something cool” on his birthday cake, like a guy in a suit wearing sunglasses.
I’ve been working on my faces, trying to make them more realistic when I want them to be, and I am very pleased with this one. Again – my proportions are a little off, but I think he looks “cool”!
The vanilla cake with vanilla butter icing is covered with a nice blue sugar paste, and topped with a hand made cake topper.
I deliberately didn’t cover the cake board, so that it would echo the silver of the cake topper.
