A Greenleaves Wedding

Talita and Ruan got married at Greenleaves a couple of weeks ago, and they treated their guests to a delicious selection of cappuccino cupcakes, chocolate cupcakes, and vanilla cupcakes, decorated with little sugar pearls.
And they had a chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream to cut. The cake was decorated with sugar paste ribbons around the sides – not ruffles – and topped with a small bouquet of fresh flowers.

Coffee and Koeksisters…

I LUUUURRRV koeksisters… and I love coffee, and the two together are heavenly. And this train of thought led to an experiment.
Coffee flavoured cupcakes, with chocolate added for yumminess, stuffed with a miniature koeksister secret-centre!! And instead of icing them, I sprinkled just one half of the top of the cupcake with icing sugar.

My colleagues, who are usually my guinea-pigs when I try something new, were very impressed with them.
