Tamlyn & Ruan got married at The Moon and Sixpenceon Wednesday, and they treated their guests to a cupcake-in-a-jar while they had their photos taken.
The jars are filled with white velvet cupcakes and cream cheese icing, and the “thank you” message sticker was designed and printed for me by Snapping Turtle Graphic Design & Printing.
The two-tiered cake is chocolate on the bottom and vanilla on top, with sugar paste ruffles on the bottom tier and a pink sugar paste bow on the top tier.
The cake topper was supplied by the bride.
This is very popular for party favours and wedding favours, and its great if you want to take a treat somewhere and you have to drive for a while.
These ones have pink ribbons and white spoons, and are filled with cappuccino cupcakes with cappuccino icing, vanilla cupcakes with vanilla icing, and chocolate cupcakes with chocolate icing!
These ones have gold ribbons and wooden spoons (which are hard to find sometimes so not always available), and are filled with vanilla and chocolate marble cupcakes with chocolate icing, and vanilla and red velvet marble cupcakes with cream cheese icing!
Josh and Bronwyn got married at Shepstone Gardens this weekend past, and the coordinator Nina was kind enough to send me pictures of the finished set up!
The cake and cupcakes-in-jars are Victoria sponge filled with a raspberry butter cream. The cake topper was provided by the bride and along with the flowers was added at the venue.
The ribbons and thank you tags on the jars were provided by the bride the stand belongs to Shepstone.
I was honoured and flattered to do the cake and cupcakes for Bronwyn & Josh – they live in the UK and had tasted my cupcakes before so when they were planning their wedding in Joburg they decided I had to do the cake and cupcakes for their wedding!
