Rodecon’s year end function cupcakes were all chocolate iced with a green vanilla butter icing and topped with the gadget from their company logo.
Making the gadget toppers entailed the cutting of 200 fondant circles which then had to dry (24 hours minimum), printing out the logo on edible paper and then gluing the printed logo to the tops of the fondant discs (overnight at least). Once they were dry the cupcakes were baked and iced and the discs made to stand upright on top of the icing.
REGRET – I can no longer accommodate corporate orders
Tanya and her other half got back from an overseas vacation yesterday, and whilst they were away their beagles Harry and Oscar were being looked after by a fellow beagle fan. Tanya asked me to make chocolate cupcakes with chocolate butter icing topped with fondant beagle faces on top of them as a thank you gift.
She also ordered some cherry-vanilla cupcakes with cream cheese icing on for her and Peter to snack on whilst recovering from their jetlag.
Sandra asked me to make something elegant for her Japanese themed birthday party. She wanted something more realistic than novelty, so I Googled. I found all sorts of things- kimonos, Mount Fuji, fans, cherry blossoms, geisha, koi… Sandra opted for cherry blossoms and either fans or kimonos.
She asked for red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese icing and chocolate cupcakes with caramel secret centres, topped with the cherry blossom design- the cherry blossoms made of fondant. I made fondant fans to top the red velvet cupcakes.
