I made another dragon cake! This one is green and was ordered by Collette for Nicholas’  4^th birthday!

The dragon’s body is a chocolate mud cake layered with chocolate ganache, the neck and tail are a type of cake pop mixture of mud cake and ganache, and his head is made of rice krispy treats. I used some of the left over cake pop mixture to shape the body part of the cake a little rounder.

Once the cake had settled, I covered it in chocolate ganache and then hot knifed it to smooth it over in preparation for the sugarpaste covering and decorating.

And here he is finished (its a mobi picture, I’ll post more later).

This selection of cupcakes was ordered by Carissa for her sister’s wedding shower!

She ordered red velvet and vanilla marble cupcakes topped with cream cheese icing, the always decadent Oreo cupcakes with vanilla icing covered in melted dark chocolate, and a batch of vanilla cupcakes with vanilla butter icing- these vanilla ones to be topped with the specially selected sugar paste creations as displayed in the book, Kinky Cupcakes!

I love the bum with the garters and knickers! My son has already asked if he can please have a selection of the bums for his 21^st birthday next year!

Emma’s mommy ordered this rainbow cake for her birthday party!

She’s having a Disney princesses themed party, but Bern wanted to surprise Emma’s party guests with what this colourful party cake looks like inside, so instead of a Disney themed cake, its covered in white vanilla butter icing! The seven layers inside- red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet- are sandwiched with strawberry jam which beautifully balances the sweetness of the cake and icing.

This “miniature” square cake is made of the tops that were cut off the big cake’s layers in order to make it flat.

These Vegas themed cupcakes were ordered months ago by Leandi to celebrate her 21^st birthday!

Half of her order is the ever decadent red velvet cupcakes and the other half is a very tasty surprise- and my own invention- red velvet and vanilla marble cupcakes!

The 3D toppers were made specially for Leandi by moi. The playing cards arranged in Black Jack pairs are printed on edible paper and mounted on fondant, and the dice are made of solid fondant and painted with edible paint!

Don’t you just love the red and white colour scheme!?
