The most recent sample boxes had 3 cupcakes in, mostly chocolate.

In the fancy green cup is a chocolate cake with a secret-centre, decorated with chocolate butter icing and little fondant flowers. In the purple cup is a crème-caramel secret-centre chocolate cupcake with a chocolate ganache-type frosting and chopped nuts. The other cupcake is supposed to be a red velvet cupcake, and its divinely velvety, but its not red at all. It has cream cheese icing on nonetheless since it tastes divine in combination… and its not the red colouring that determines its taste

These sample boxes were R50 each.

If anyone can suggest a new name for the sample boxes I’d love to hear them!

So far, people have suggested “threesomes“, “nom nom boxes“, “addiction creators“, “tid bits“, “teasers“, “boxed orgasms“ and “Introduction To Heaven“!

I’m going to be baking tomorrow night, and I think I’m going to do red velvet with cream cheese, something with chocolate and… aaaaaand… erm, and and and… and something else.

I dunno what yet.

Gina and her colleagues ordered no less than 10 sample boxes from me this week!!

With their blessing I packed all 10 boxes in one big box, so it looks like this:

There are 10 red velvet cupcakes in white cups with cream cheese icing, red sugar and a fresh raspberry decoration.

10 chocolate and vanilla marble cakes in yellow cups with a sticky chocolate fudge ganache icing and tiny fondant butterflies.

And there are 10 malted honeycomb secret-centre chocolate cupcakes in red cups with chocolate icing, little silver dragees, red vermicelli and tiny fondant stars!!

I’ll probably fill the boxes with a chocolate ganache frosted marble cupcake, a red velvet with cream cheese icing aaaand… something else. I dunno what yet.

This week’s boxes will be R50 each.

This week, I had vanilla sample boxes available. I sold 11 of these for R40 each, and when I put the offer out there I had no idea what I was actually going to do with them!

I ended up with several “regular” cupcakes, just cake and icing and sprinkles, several “decadent” cupcakes and a few luxury cupcakes too!
