I made strawberry cupcakes with cream cheese icing, chocolate cupcakes with a creme-caramel secret centre topped with chocolate butter icing and chocolate discs and rolls, and I made vanilla cakes- some with secret centres- topped with white vanilla butter icing, red fondant hearts and black fondant music notes and symbols.
I had special cupcake wrappers made with a red and white paisley theme and our monogram in purple on the front. My mom and sisters helped me ice and decorate them the night before the wedding, and we had great fun in my kitchen.
The following photographs were taken by many different people- myself, our official wedding photographer Jeanette Verster, my sister Candy, my daddy darling and my friend Wenchy! They’re in no particular order, but I think you’ll enjoy them.
Instead of cutting a cake, we only had my cupcakes and we fed one to each other after the ceremony!
Two weeks after the wedding, we had a Trash-The-Dress shoot, and we started in my kitchen where I was “baking” cupcakes! You can see some of those photos here!
