I am especially pleased with this sugar paste cowboy boot cake topper, with its red and white paisley bandanna.
Made completely freehand – no moulds or cutters – it stands about 12cm tall!
I had to make my own plan for the boot, so I used pictures of cowboy boots to make it up as I went along – I think I made four boots before I had one I was happy with! 😀
The two-tiered wild West rodeo-themed cake was a lot of fun to make too, vanilla cake top tier, chocolate cake bottom tier, decorated with a tooled “leather” belt and buckle, stars, horseshoes, little stetsons, and rope.

The cake design is not completely original – I took design aspects from various Western-theme cakes on the internet.
