Bright Blue Wedding Ruffles!

I delivered this wedding cake and cupcake-in-a-jar order to Makiti last year.

Inside it’s a bright turquoise velvet cake with cream cheese icing, the top tier is a double height “barrel” cake, covered in white sugar paste. The bottom tier is decorated with upside down sugar paste ruffles, in turquoise ombre, topped with a white sugar paste peony.

The cupcake-in-a-jar wedding favours are also turquoise velvet with cream cheese icing, closed with gold lids, a turquoise ribbon, and a little disposable teaspoon.

Leigh & Shaun’s Wedding Cake

Leigh and Shaun got married at The View in December, and I was honoured to do their wedding cake. What a gorgeous couple!

It’s three tiers of white velvet cake filled with cream cheese icing, covered in vanilla buttercream rosettes and decorated with a single large white sugar paste rose.

Annique and Chris’s Wedding at KleinKaap

Annique and Chris’s got married at Kleinkaap last weekend, and I delivered these cupcake-in-a-jar wedding favours — chocolate with chocolate buttercream & vanilla with vanilla buttercream — a couple of hours before the wedding.

Wedding Ruffles and Cupcakes-in-jars!

Tamlyn & Ruan got married at The Moon and Sixpence on Wednesday, and they treated their guests to a cupcake-in-a-jar while they had their photos taken.

The jars are filled with white velvet cupcakes and cream cheese icing, and the “thank you” message sticker was designed and printed for me by Snapping Turtle Graphic Design & Printing.
The two-tiered cake is chocolate on the bottom and vanilla on top, with sugar paste ruffles on the bottom tier and a pink sugar paste bow on the top tier.
The cake topper was supplied by the bride.

Wedding Ruffles!

Tasha and Simon got married at Morrell’s at the end of August, and their vintage chic decor suited the venue perfectly.

Their two-tiered cake has a chocolate tier at the bottom, and a gluten-free vanilla tier at the top, covered in pale blush sugar paste ruffles edged in places with a little gold.
The rose is also made of sugar paste.

The vanilla cupcakes are topped with pale blush vanilla butter icing, and the red velvet cupcakes are topped with cream cheese icing. They are decorated with handmade sugar paste roses, pearls, and sugar paste domes embellished with edible lace, bows and flowers. Some of them are also in decorative, paper lace cupcake wrappers.

The cake table was beautifully laid out with cake stands and teacups!

I am thrilled to know from Tasha that they loved their cake and cupcakes, and the only thing “leftover” was a slice of chocolate cake that the couple shared the next day!
